Sea of tranquility

Francis Jocky: Mr. Pain — . I’m not much of a funk, reggae and R&B guy, but Cameroon-born Francis Jocky’s music percolates with a groovy Seal /Al Jarreau /Bob Marley vibe that I can’t help but dig. Yes, in case you’re wondering, this is the dude who helped turn Yes front man Jon Anderson into a wannabe R&B hunk on Anderson’s 1998 solo album, The More You Know. But the title of this 12-track collection of songs about love and the human condition has got to be one of the most inappropriate I’ve heard all year: This stuff is a pure pleasure to hear.
